There is less than a month left for the premiere of Avengers: Endgame! And it will become one of the most successful, blockbuster and impressive productions in history. The first reactions would advance that it is a quite impressive movie.
After the critical and commercial success of Avengers Infinity War – the most shocking ending to the entire Marvel film franchise, the pressure to create a new movie that surpasses expectations is quite high.
In an interview with Box Office Pro, Joe Russo, one of the directors, explains the challenges of ending this decade-long saga of movies. And, without giving any details, how Avengers Endgame differs from Infinity War.
“It’s complicated to answer these questions without giving more information. But I will say that this film has a unique tone. It has its own spirit, unlike Infinity War. And, for that reason, it turned out to be separate movies. Of course, the narratives get their hands on this series of 22 films. But it is different from Infinity War in tone and is told from a different perspective. It’s important to us, as filmmakers, to separate the two because we don´t want to do the same movie twice.”
Infinity War was described by the filmmakers as a “heist movie”. And turned out to be a film mostly told by Thanos villain. Also, sometime during the production of these films, produced one after the other, Infinity War was at one time a pair of films, with Part 1 and Part 2.
Now that they reveal different films. And given the end of Infinity War, it is not to be doubted that this adventure will be focused on the heroes who want to save the Universe.
To find out all this we’ll have to wait until April 25th, when Avengers: Endgame hits theaters.
