Lets face it, it’s not easy to prepare a full on complete gym bag. Especially if you’re taking a shower at the gym, there’s a hole bunch of logistics that you can’t afford to leave behind.
So what if you’re going to the gym in the middle of the day? Probably your colleagues wouldn’t love to see you covered in sweat in the afternoon because you forgot your towel.
We’ve gathered a bullet proof list of essentials for your gym bag. Regardless of your gender or workout time, here are the items you can’t afford to forget.
- Sneakers – in order to maximize your training performance, it’s important to have the appropriate footwear. Choose sneakers that are appropriate for your type of training and make sure to own at least 2 pairs – the soles of the sneakers need to breath for at least 48h in order to regain full elasticity
- Breathable workout clothes – I mean, who wants to get up in a machine full of sweat? There’s nothing sexy about wandering around the gym fully weat on sweat, so make sure to wear some breathable workout clothes;
- Socks – bad smells aside, training without socks might cause wounds and your feet, so try not to forget them!
- Quick-drying towels – these are definitely a must have in your gym bag. Make sure to bring one for your workout session, and a second one if your showering at the gym. Besides being super practical, they’ll also help to ease the smells in your bag;
- (Dry ) Shampoo and Shower Gel – if you’re taking a shower, these are definitely a must in your gym bag;
- Slippers – sure, the shower’s are pretty clean; but do you really want to risk wandering around with your bare feet?
- Underwear – this is just good hygiene. Or do you want to wear your old panties after a shower?
- Deodorant & Perfume- let’s face it, you can be super stylish and pumped up, but if you smell then people will be getting away;
- Make-up + baby wipes – ok, we admit it. This one is specially for the ladies – but it’s always important to keep your skin clean!
- Hair ties – if you have long hair and always wear it flowing, take a break. You’ll be happy you brought some ties when your sweating like a real athlete;
- Wireless headphones and maybe a portable charger – everyone knows that a good playlist is halfway down a productive workout, right? If you want to be extra careful, just pack a portable charger;
- Water – hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! We all need to do it everyday, especially when working out;
- Gloves – especially if you’re lifting heavy weights, make sure to bring some gloves packed in your gym bag. These will help you keep your hands free of wounds and increase adherence to the weights;
- A lock – last but not least, don’t forget your locker. You need to keep your gym bag safe right? Otherwise, we wouldn’t advise on taking the risk between the work day.
