Take care of your diet during Ramadan with healthy and varied meals

With the celebration of Ramadan begins a strict fast on the part of the Muslim community, who from May 7 to June 5 can not eat, drink or smoke from sunrise to sunset.

The keys

To feed: throughout the week, the plates of food must contain vegetables, proteins and carbohydrates. We recommend a minimum of two days of legumes to which other foods can be incorporated.

Variety: so as not to bore the organism, during the seven days of the week the proteins and the meals can be varied for the enjoyment of the moment and thus avoid the monotony.

Hydration: in Ramadan you can drink water before dawn and after sunset. Therefore, it suggests that when swallowing liquids drink short swishes. Also ask to be careful not to “bloat the stomach”.

Nutrients: in this time of fasting the body needs food to cover the nutrients, leaving aside the calories. The body requires minerals, vitamins and macronutrients.
