Michael Jackson: a victim, a villain or just a person?

Leaving Neverland

The new HBO documentary, Leaving Neverland, reveals sexual child abuses committed by Michael Jackson with victims testimonials.

The American singer died in 2009 with 50 years old, when he started to recover his good reputation questioned for everyone along the years. But now, 10 years after this death, the 4 hours documentary debuted on HBO, with proofs that Michael Jackson really did the crimes.

Australian choreographer Wade Robson, now 36, revealed that the musician had sexually abused him since the age of 7 up until he was 14 years old. While James Safechuck, 40, said that Michael Jackson had abused him “since 10 to near 14“.

The two men also responded positively to the question of whether abuses had occurred “hundreds and hundreds of times.”

Wade Robson revealed that the singer made him believe that there was love between them.

“This was all scary to me. The idea of separating me from Michael. This man. This figure from another world. This god for me, who had now become my best friend… I would by no means do something that would take us away”.

For his part, James Safechuck said that the abuses began when Michael Jackson taught him how to have sex when he was 10 years old and that after that many other sexual acts ensued.

The musician’s family has already stated that there are no “proofs” that confirm these charges against the singer.  The managers of his estate have started a war against Leaving Neverland. According to The New York Times,  estate managers – whose beneficiaries are Michael Jackson’s mother and three children, as well as charities for children – a petition in the Superior Court of Arbitration of Los Angeles, asking for 100 million dollars of compensation to HBO.

Those responsible blame the fact that the entire documentary is supported only by the testimony of these two men, who accuse them of “liars.
